Cooley's Mergers & Acquisitions attorneys hold leadership positions in the American Bar Association's Section of Business Law. One of them served as Chair of the Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions, consisting of more than 2,000 M&A practitioners throughout the United States, Canada and more than 20 other countries. Another one serves as Vice Chair of that Committee's Market Trends Subcommittee, which publishes studies on trends in public and private company mergers and acquisitions transactions.
They also frequently lecture at some of the most prominent conferences in the country, including the UCLA Institute on Corporate, Securities and Related Aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions and the annual Securities Regulation Institute in San Diego; one of them co-chairs the ABA's annual National Institute on Negotiating Business Acquisitions; and two of them are co-chairing The New Era in Technology M&A. Moreover, many appear in numerous publications that list and rank the top attorneys in the United States and the world, including The Best Lawyers in America, Euromoney's Guide to the World's Leading Mergers and Acquisitions Lawyers, the Chambers Global Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers, the International Who's Who of Merger & Acquisition Lawyers and Lawdragon's lists of the leading lawyers in America.
